High-Intensity Home Workout

I’m having so much fun creating these workout videos! Since the weather has been brutal in many parts of the country, it has been important for me to show that you can do a fun and effective cardio workout at home, even when it’s too wet or cold to be outside.

Today’s workout is one of my harder ones with a high tempo. If you prefer a low-impact workout, you can do last week’s workout instead.

If you ever want to do this workout without having the video available, you can print or write down the list of exercises below. It’s a good idea to have watched the video first to see how I perform each exercise as they aren’t all self-explanatory.

  1. High knee skipping
  2. Squat, floor touch and V-jump
  3. X-run
  4. Plank with hip dips
  5. Crab march
  6. Walk out plank and push up
  7. Squat, hook, and duck
  8. Jumping Jacks
  9. Sprints

First Time attempting your workout. Loved it. My daughter was “helping” me and she said she loves your couch and that it looks comfy.
I will be back to try another workout. I am not usually one for home workouts, but I enjoyed this one.

Hi…Love this workout, did three rounds. Could you tell me an estimate on about how many calories this would burn. Thanks

      Hi Colleen,
That’s really hard to say since it will depend on your size, fitness level and how much intensity you put into it. I did 6 rounds (35 min.) and my activity tracker claimed 265 cal., but I also know those aren’t accurate. I would suggest you just add additional activity or amp up the intensity if you are looking to burn more calories than you already are burning through cardio.
