Tofu Scramble Recipe

  • 16 oz. firm tofu (drained)
  • 1 medium tomato (chopped with seeds removed)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (chopped with seeds removed)
  • 1/2 medium red onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric (optional)
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • Fresh coriander to garnish
  • Fresh lemon juice to garnish


  • Prepare the ingredients by chopping the onion, tomato, and bell pepper into cubes and measuring out the spices. You can crumble the tofu beforehand and simply add in or you can crumble it directly over the pan. 
  • Add the onions, bell pepper and tomato to the pan and cook for 3 minutes to soften.
  • Add in the crumbled tofu and stir to start to warm through. Add some water to the spices to make a pourable liquid and add to the pan. Stir until completely mixed into the tofu scramble. 
  • Cook for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to come together. Add more salt or chili flakes here adjust the taste to your liking, making this tofu scramble recipe your own. 
  • Serve drizzled with fresh lemon juice or store for 3 - 5 days for later use.
