Buffalo Chicken Burgers

These buffalo chicken burgers combine all the flavors of buffalo hot wings into one delicious burger. Just top with blue cheese dressing, wrap with lettuce, and dig in!

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • ½ cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 scallions, (finely chopped)
  • 1 egg, (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 large leaves butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce
  • blue cheese dressing

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded carrots, chopped celery, chopped scallions, egg, hot sauce, and blue cheese crumbles. Mix until well-combined.

  • Shape the mixture into four patties.
  • Pan-fry, grill, or broil the burgers until cooked through.
  • Place each burger on a lettuce leaf, add your desired toppings, then roll up and eat as a lettuce wrap.

Notes

This recipe is for 4 servings. Each serving is 1 buffalo chicken patty.

To reduce the sodium, cut back on the hot sauce or look for a low-sodium brand. You could also cut back on the blue cheese.
