Spoon with Asian vinaigrette over bowl of salad

Looking for a simple way to spice up your favorite dishes? This Asian vinaigrette and marinade is just what you need!

I love the delicate flavor of the rice vinegar combined with typical Asian ingredients like soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. And of course, I like to add a dash of sriracha for a little bit of kick! The result is simply delicious.

Best of all, this easy recipe can be ready in minutes. Throw it together on the fly when you need a quick salad dressing or a tasty marinade.

You could even whip up a batch to dress your leafy greens at lunch, then use the rest to marinate chicken, steak, or pork for dinner!

How to make Asian vinaigrette and marinade

This delicious Asian-inspired recipe is as easy as one, two, three:

Ingredients in individual white ramekins

Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, tamari or soy sauce, ginger, and garlic.

Step 2: While whisking continuously, add the olive oil in a steady stream.

Step 3: Add a dash of sriracha to taste and freshly ground black pepper.

Don’t feel like whisking? You can also add all the ingredients to a small jar with a tight-fitting lid and then shake vigorously.

Either way, your vinaigrette will be ready in minutes!

Variations for this recipe

This tasty condiment is both vegan and gluten-free. However, if you are sensitive to gluten, double-check that your tamari or soy sauce is gluten-free, as it can vary from brand to brand.

Sensitive to spicy food? Feel free to leave out the sriracha. The sauce will still have big, bold flavor. Or, if you love spicy food, you can always use more sriracha!

Ways to use this recipe

I love to use this recipe for a simple salad to serve alongside something like Asian Chicken Noodle and Spinach Soup or Asian Steak Salad. It adds just the right kick!

You can also use it as a vinaigrette when you’re making a big salad as your main course. Try it over spinach and kale topped with grilled chicken breast and a little freshly grated ginger for a delicious and satisfying meal!

The options don’t stop there. Try it as a dipping sauce for grilled vegetables, a marinade for any kind of meat, or a stir-fry sauce!

With such a rich, bold flavor, why not try this sauce on everything?

Storage

Once mixed, this condiment can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you used the jar method to mix it up, you can just store it right in the jar with the lid on!

I recommend re-whisking or shaking when you take it out of the refrigerator in case any of the ingredients have separated.
