Diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic health condition characterized by elevated levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood. It relates to problems with insulin, a vital hormone for regulating blood sugar.

The most common forms of diabetes are type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes develops when the pancreas produces little or no insulin. Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin and, in many cases, the pancreas does not produce enough insulin.

Although there is currently no cure for any of the types of diabetes, it can be effectively managed through medications, lifestyle adjustments, and regular monitoring to prevent or delay related complications.
