You’ve decided to include resistance training in your workout routine, but wait…what if you don’t have access to a gym, don’t own a set of weights or maybe you’re traveling and the hotel’s definition of a gym consists of a single treadmill?
Well, don’t give up! You can always get creative and have a great workout using items almost everyone has at home.
Let me show you how:

What are the best exercise for me with type 2, diabetes and chronic pain.
Christel Oerum
Given your chronic pain, I’d recommend you work directly with a physical therapist or personal trainer specialized in pain. You’d need customized support and guidance. If your medical team has already given you overall guidance (such as walk, go in the pool, etc.) just follow that and make sure you listen to your body and rest when needed. All movement counts

This is a nice reminder we are not alone in the struggle for better health

I too enjoy reading your blogs and learning the many different ways to exercise or to eat better to help co trip bg levels. I struggle daily to get my numbers lower.
Thank you for your support

Andrea, I’m glad we can be a resource.
Managing blood sugars can be a struggle, for me as well. I try and approach it, one challenge at a time. We often try to change too many things at a time often making us fail at everything. So maybe focus on one time a day first and figure out how to manage your blood sugar at that time. When figured out, move to the next time slot. It takes time, and I know it can be frustrating, but one day and one problem at a time
