Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes develops when the pancreas begins to produce less insulin or when the body becomes less sensitive to the effects of insulin—known as insulin resistance.

Common symptoms of type 2 diabetes include:

  • Increased thirst
  • Increased hunger
  • Frequent urination
  • Dry mouth
  • Headaches
  • Feeling tired after meals
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Blurry vision

Type 2 diabetes can be diagnosed with a simple blood test at your regular doctor's visit.
